Artist's Comments

okay, here's another shot of jen. i've decided i'm only going to post two of these (even though they are very similar). no point in putting up a bunch of not-as-good-as-these few shots. as for the dutch angle.. don't even ask what i was thinking. i hate canted angles in general.

again, let me know your honest thoughts. next shoot i need to do a much better job! we'll chalk this one up as a loss (mostly) and concentrate on the next one :)

canon 20d in raw, 3 lights and 2 flags, photoshopCS

I like the tension between the dark and the light areas.
The angle makes this more dinamic.
But I like the lighting on the other one better... You could see her freckles :D

Again, me giving you a critique feels awful strange. :blushes:

the numbers are bad!
:iconclaytes:
why strange? critique from anyone helps. these photos are not that great. they may be better than many people could do, but keep in mind i do have a nice camera and good lens and some good lights and stands. i'm sure if you handed these tools to any person, 75% of them could get shots like this. comparing these shots i've taken to, say, something printed in a magazine and i almost feel embarrased! i mean, i'm trying to improve. it's a process.

thanks for your comments :)

I love taking pictures in that angle.
Not a lot of people see the "beauty" of it! Sadly
:iconnox-aquarius:
I like the first one better. Shes looks angry.

excellent, I love learning something new every day. And this has been my tidbit of the day. Dutch angles. I wonder why "dutch" though, a stoned photographer in Amsterdam? ;)
