just one of this things. you're out, you're goofiing, it happens. yeah i realize there isn't much behind this shot, esp for other people who don't know the dude, but i still get a kick out of it regardless.
...been way too busy to shoot lately. did leave work on time yesterday and explored some of the southside, but i didn't get any inspiration to shoot. probably was in the wrong places, and being on my bike didn't help either. my bike that now has a flat tire because of that journey.. fucking roads down there suck. ugh...
shot an event last weekend at the shedd aquarium. was a fun little gig, got a few good shots, client happy, etc. it was odd, though, because i show up with my setup and them with theirs. i am on fast prime lens with no flash or else highly diffused/indirect flash. they are on their horrible, slow, zoom lenses and direct flash. for the dinner portion of the night, which was held in the aquarium, flash was not allowed. i was the only one even capable of shooting in there! haha. but whatever, to each their own i guess...
working tomorrow (sat). sucks. maybe i will shoot afterwards? if i can get my tire fixed. shooting a wedding in a few weeks. video not stills. hate them but it pays well. i think it will even be on tv. it's some weird thing, i don't know all the details yet. knot.com i think is behind it. they better pay me some more if it is broadcast, though!
found a leica on ebay for pretty cheap last night. i seriously spent a good few hours debating upon it. i had planned to invest in a nikon fm2 with a few nice prime lesnes (28 and 50/1.2), but thought perhaps instead of that go straight for the leica with the 50/2. would probably also have to cancel europe as it ended at ~US$950, but shit, i'd have an m3! reality set in. while it would be fun to own a leica, i don't think i'm at the point where i need one for any reason other than it being cool to have. anyway. don't bid on any old nikons in the next few weeks cause i want them!!
okay, back to work. lunch break over. hope all is well with everyone!
I just got an old shit-beat FM2 with a coupla lenses last week (found it in a drawer in my new office, go figure - I look forward to it being my first film camera. I would wait on the Leica, bro...that's one of those things that can wait a little while. I'd rather have Europe with a 20D (or FM2 - as =95101 pointed out, you can use the FM2 to thwart robbers and skeevy hookers - it's steel, baby).
you dont neeed a leica to get good shots, olympus om series lens are good enough zuiko that is, most their lens are tight, clear and produce amazing prints!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
