park in potsdamer platz near the sony centre. one of the greatest atmospheres i've ever witnessed! it was almost like a fantasy. as if we were in a movie.

berlin, germany

I like how you've put that surreality feeling in this picture. It's like none of the elements had nothing in common. I also like the way it's composed in layers, one for the kid, the next for the woman, another one for the man standing and a last one for the figure in the far.
and speaking of Berlin, I've had that feeling more in Alexanderplatz or some other places in the east Berlin, with all the soviet motives and big avenues.

thanks for the comment. i love how surreal it looks. like a movie scene or something. and yes, i agree with you about the layers.

i think the one thing i regret about the shot is that the boy's ice cream cone is almost all gone! if only he had a large full scoop or two, multi colored, that would be fantastic! maybe i should photoshop one in there :D
:iconvelocista:
I picture the cone, the balloon and maybe the elephant of my picture and it could be a Lynch movie or a Dalí painting :)

By the way, don't waste much time making the cone multicolored. I've heard you can't tell it is in a b&w picture :shh:

I have a message to deliver to the cute people of the world: if you're cute, or maybe you're beautiful, there's MORE OF US UGLY MOTHERFUCKERS OUT THERE THAN YOU ARE!! So watch out.

great shot. i really do like the surreal feel to it. the different layers of focus, the clouds and that hot air ballloon all add to the feel. nice.

oh that's so grand. I've been on that swings just this summer . that's beautiful to see it all from your perspective now.
to see from what angle someone else observes the scenery.
I must say I've felt something similar. very magical.
It's nice to see something this emotional in what is actually an "everyday" scene
